ArtProto FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Who can download or use the images?Anyone can download and use the images if they are a registered user of our site and follow the guidelines for site use. ArtProto provides a site for the public to purchase royalty-free images for use in all professional settings. To download an image, just click on the thumbnail or the download icon underneath the thumbnail. Then you will be shown a watermarked image, which you are free to download for review purposes. To purchase the high resolution image or media file, click on the watermarked image/file and a pop-up window will ask you to confirm the purchase. The download will begin automatically if you confirm the purchase. Why buy images from ArtProto? Artproto provides a huge variety of images from around the world. We have international photographers contributing their works all the time, so you have an array of different views and subjects. We also offer a very low cost for each download, roughly $1, depending on the subscription plan you choose. When downloading the images, will the watermarks show? No. The watermarks are only there when previewing the images. As a registered user buying the images, the images are in the dimensions listed without the watermark. There is a DNA coding on each image, however, so that the images are not used improperly by unregistered parties. What payment methods do you offer? We accept payment through PayPal(R) or any of the following major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. What resolution are the pictures when I download them? Each image downloaded will vary in resolution and print size. Because there are so many different photographers uploading their images, each image resolution is not the same for every image. For each image, we label the resolution size as well as the max print size. Please refer to the image specs before downloading an image. What types of credit or acknowledgement do I have to give, if I use an image? All royalty-free images or media purchased from the ArtProto gallery are inherently assigned non-exclusive, unlimited usage rights to all those purchasing the image, equal to the author of the work itself. Since artwork is very unique to each artist and photographer, we ask that whenever possible every designer using our images give the author credit for the work. This is not a requirement. However, at ArtProto, we strive to acknowledge all the exceptional artistans who have contributed to the site. Which subscription purchase is best for me? This depends on the number of downloads you plan to make. If you plan to download more than 10 images per week, you should consider purchasing an unlimited subscription rather than downloading files at individual rates. I've forgotten my password, what do I do? Just click in the "Forget Password" link where you will be directed to a page that you will have to answer some security questions. With the correct answers, we will e-mail your password. I want to update my profile and personal information, how do I do that? Just go to your profile page and there you will be able to change your personal profile, username and password. I have lots of photos that I took on a recent vacation... will these photos be approved? Not all. We accept high-quality images and creative media that can be used in other marketing or production campaigns such as brochure, print ads, or multimedia. If your photo or artwork can meet this requirement distinguishing commercial art from private collections, then chances are we will approve it. We accept the following formats: JPEG and GIF formats with a minimum of 3 megapixels, with rare exceptions. All photos must be free of unnecessary noise and color blemishes. Our technicians will review each submission to make sure they are acceptable for print or online use. When can I get paid? As soon as you begin to make money, you can request at any time a payout; ArtProto issues and mails out checks every 2 weeks. If you request a payout on the 1st of the month, then your payout check will be sent out on the 15th of the month. How many images can I upload at a time? Per day? You can upload five (5) images at one time with no maximum number of uploads per day.
